Sunny's Biography

Sunny Harris has been trading since 1981. She is a computer programmer and Mathematician, having used TradeStation since the early SystemWriter™ days in the 1980s. Sunny also uses MetaStock, Genesis Navigator, NinjaTrader and MultiCharts in her trading.

Sunny published Traders Catalog & Resource Guide (TC&RG) beginning in 1989, sponsors The Money Mentor on the Internet (since 1994), and was rated #1 trader in the under $10 million category by Stark Research, achieving a 365% profit in 1994 and 178% in 1995. Ms. Harris's first book, Trading 101 — How to Trade Like a Pro, sold out within the first two weeks, and continues to be a financial best-seller. Her second book, Trading 102 — Getting Down to Business, was released in October 1998 and also has achieved record sales. In early 2000, Harris released Electronic Day Trading 101, addressing the basics of trading online and through direct access brokerage, followed by Getting Started in Trading in 2001, and now TradeStation Made Easy! in 2011.

Sunny continues to provide consulting for individual and institutional clients, including speaking engagements.
Sunny took an 8 year hiatus from 2002 til 2010, raising her grandsons. Now she's back! And, re-entering the trading community with a new book: "TradeStation Made Easy!" the long-awaiting how to get started book we all could use, which won First Place in the prestigious STAR Awards.

Now that one is complete, she has begun a new, and ground-breaking work, called "Grading the Gurus." In this book she not only interviews famous gurus* but she reveals the code for their systems and rigorously tests it over 60 symbols in 10 different time frames. Sixty-five gurus have been invited. Not all will be willing to reveal their work to this level of scrutiny. Call me if you have a guru in mind that you'd like me to investigate.
